mikeburns
Hi there everyone this is my first post so thanks for having me here! Long story short, bought some shisha on my way back through Dubai Airport. One has Dubai Mollasses on the front and Al Fakher tradng co on the side. two apples flavour (50 gms). There seems to be reviews around for this that are fairly positive. Any comments on this would be great. My big question is really on the second shisha tobacco I purchased. It is mainly all in Arabic but does have "Bahrain Tobacco Factory" and "made in the kingdom of bahrain" on the sticker. It also has a big gold sticker on the side that says "made in Bahrain" and has some arabic on it that I cannot read. It is strawberry flavoured and is 500gms. It smells excellent (I suppose as I havent really had much experience) and is a medium cut with heaps of sticky red syrup. I have included pics of this tobacco. I cant find any information online about this brand or flavour of shisha tobacco. It cost me 40 dubai dollars (cant remember what they are). If anyone has smoked it or had any experience with the company it would be great if you could share your thoughts.Ill be trying both flavours tomorrow but as im new to shisha i wont really know if what i purchased was good quality or not. Thanks in advance for any info[attachment=3829:DSC02407.JPG][attachment=3830:DSC02411.JPG][attachment=3831:DSC02413.JPG]

thecyrax
I bought 2 500gm packages of that Bahraini shisha in Qatar a month or so ago and the Mixed fruit is pretty delicious. I've also got the grape, but haven't tried that.Best of luck to you

scratchy
I'm not a huge fan of strawberry shisha, but that's some snazzy packaging. I really hope your strawberry session is better than the strawberry nak session I had. Not much makes me puke, but that was a instahurl

jmorandall
I recently purchased the Al Fakher gold line strawberry at a hookah store in Dearborn, MI. It has been my top choice of flavor since I purchased it, and I am going to have to get more as soon as it runs out, I hope the two you bought in Dubai turn out good. Let me know. mikeburns
also ive noticed varying reviews on how to smoke it, wondered if i could get some advice regarding how tightly to pack them both (they are both very moist tobaccos). Some say it should be tightly packed and others say loosely. The hookah im using is just a cheap nahkla one, 330mm high with a porcelain bowl that has been finished inside and out. The bowl is about 30-45mm across and about 20mm deep i think. And second question im using small (22mm) taru quicklite coals. Just wondered if I should use 2 or 3? Have looked all over the forums and this seems to vary too. Thanks a bunch for the answers so far, it seems that a couple of people have tried this brand and that it is good. Amped for tonight only 10 hours or so to go! Edited July 9, 2009 by mikeburns
MeNouA
I haven't liked nak strawberry since the first time I smoked it. AF strawberry is amazing though, it smells and tastes really good. I always tend to have 50g box of AF strawberry with me.

Sonthert
That is the tits. Thats the good Bahraini tobacco if I remember the gold logo right...
SmokinMoose
Just pack it loose. Its very similar to an AF cut if i remember correctly so there is a lot of room for error.
Sonthert
If its the same as I remember, I would advocate packing it just like Tangiers. It should be black, and oily. I did see some Bahraini stuff that was dyed some years ago, but I think it was another Bahrain manufacturer. Even the dyed stuff packed like Tangiers, maybe slightly lighter...its been like 6 years, though. Hard to remember.

Sonthert
Do you pack it like Tangiers or like Al Fakher? What works better?
thecyrax
Both work fine, although I've found it is very easy to overpack compared to Tang or Nak.The flavor that comes through is great on the mix fruit, very heavy on banana (yet TOTALLY different from any banana I've ever had)
